Wati, a 15 year old girl who disappeared in Indonesia’s tsunami 2004 found his family who thought she was dead. She is from Banda Aceh, the most damaged area devastaded 164 thousand people dead a cause of the tsunami and 226 thousand total all over Indonesia.
This girl was used as a slave to work for a woman who left her at the street because ‘her slave’ did not give pity to people since she got older.

The whole Steve Jobs’s speech is remarkable, but to me, specially what he thinks about death which is part of life.
…Because life is very likely the best invention of life. It’s life change agent…Sorry to be so dramatic but is quite true. Your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone elese’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others opinions drowned out your inner voice and most important, heve the courage to follow your heart and intuition…everything else is secondary.

Platicando con Tarket’s opinion: The self – destructive behavior of the British singer and composer Amy Winehouse cryied she was sick of the hypocrite society, lies promoted in life and the non solved personal relationships. She was so intense ’cause things did matter to her and unfortunately could not manage them to change for better.

Storyline

El presidente Barack Obama aseguró el lunes que al representar uno de cada cinco estudiantes en Estados Unidos, el éxito académico de los alumnos hispanos es fundamental para el futuro de la nación.
“Nuestra fuerza laboral será más diversa, y si ellos no reciben la educación que necesitan, no triunfaremos como nación. Ocho de cada 10 empleos futuros requerirán más que una educación secundaria”, dijo el mandatario al responder a preguntas en español de estudiantes, padres y maestros en una escuela secundaria capitalina.
Unos 12 millones de latinos estudian en las escuelas públicas a nivel de primaria y secundaria, representan más del 25% de los estudiantes de preescolar en todo el país, pero solo la mitad termina la secundaria y solamente uno de cada tiene título universitario.
Obama afirmó que las escuelas necesitan acercarse a los padres, incluso si no hablan inglés, para “preguntarles cómo pueden incluirlos en el proyecto de que sus jóvenes se gradúen. Las escuelas necesitan tener traductores, y si el presupuesto está muy limitado, entonces miembros de la comunidad pueden traducir voluntariamente”.
Ante una pregunta del moderador Jorge Ramos, el gobernante admitió que en la última década los fondos para defensa aumentaron más que los educativos, pero destacó que su proyecto de presupuesto para 2012 incluye un incremento de 10% para educación.
Al responder a una estudiante que no puede ir a la universidad debido a que está indocumentada, Obama invitó a contactar a sus representantes en el congreso para expresar la importancia de que aprueben el proyecto de ley Dream Act, que busca regularizar el estatus de jóvenes traídos ilegalmente a Estados Unidos por sus padres cuando eran niños.
Pese a que el Dream Act no obtuvo los votos suficientes para su aprobación en el Senado en diciembre, Obama invitó a los jóvenes a no desistir y a seguir luchando. “Muchos cambios se han dado porque los jóvenes se aseguran de que sus voces son escuchadas. Tienen un presidente que cree en ellos y continuará luchando por ellos”.
Brayan Ruiz, estudiante de tercer año de secundaria, dijo que habría preferido “escuchar más detalles sobre el Dream Act, que sería una ayuda importante para los que esperan hacer algo con su educación”.
Cleotilde Galvez, hondureña de 56 años y madre de Brayan, dijo tras presenciar el diálogo con Obama que “escuchamos muchas promesas y esperamos que cumpla algunas, especialmente sobre educación e inmigración, ahora que hay tantas deportaciones y familias divididas”.
El evento de una hora, que mostró al presidente relajado y contando un par de chistes, fue patrocinado por Univision, que planea transmitirlo a las 19:00 (2300GMT).
El presidente de Univision, César Conde, dijo a AP que la asamblea marca la segunda etapa de la campaña en 2010 y que en los próximos cinco años buscará explicar la importancia que tiene la participación de los padres en la educación de sus hijos.
“Con este foro quisimos reunir a a los actores que pueden solucionar el tema de la deserción escolar: al sector privado, la comunidad, los padres y el gobierno”, dijo.
José Rico, subdirector de la iniciativa para la excelencia educativa de los hispanos de la Casa Blanca, explicó a AP que el evento forma parte de un esfuerzo de la presidencia para argumentar por qué es necesario reformar la Ley de Educación Primaria y Secundaria.
El gobierno publicó el 13 de marzo un plan que provee incentivos para los estados que adopten normas para preparar a los estudiantes a triunfar en la universidad y en el lugar de trabajo, y para crear sistemas de contabilidad que midan el progreso de los estudiantes en obtener la meta de que todos los niños se gradúen y tengan éxito en la universidad.
La prominencia de la comunidad hispana fue reforzada la semana pasada, cuando la oficina del censo dijo que los hispanos suman 50 millones o uno de cada seis estadounidenses.
