‘Les tripplettes de Bellevile’ traducida en español ‘Las tres mellizas de Bellevile’ animación largometraje está inspirada en las películas mudas ‘Día de Fiesta’ y ‘Las vacaciones del señor Hulot’ del ícono francés, el director Jacques Tati.
La película fue nominada a dos Premios de la Academia por Mejor Reportaje animado, por lo que es la primera PG-13 (clasificación de advertencia de película con guía paterna) de dibujos animados para ser nominados en esta categoría y Mejor Canción Original (Benoît Charest y Sylvain Chomet por «Belleville Rendez-vous», interpretado por Matthieu Chedid, en la versión original. También ha sido galardonado con el César por Mejor película musical y como co-producción con Canada ganó el Premio Genie por la mejor película en movimiento y de la BBC Cuatro Premios del cine mundial en el 2004.
Fue co-producida entre compañías en Francia, Inglaterra, Bélgica y Canadá.
